Welcome to Sardis' webpage! I am very glad you are visiting. Here you will find information about who we are and what we do. As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we celebrate God's love for us in Jesus Christ and express our appreciation for that amazing grace through service in the world.

Humankind was created to be in relationship with God. However, all sorts of things get in the way, even as God continually calls us back. Individually, we are at different places at different times in our lives; yet God provides for all of our needs. Sometimes we need to hear the gospel of rest for our weary souls; sometimes assurance that we are forgiven and accepted, and sometimes the challenge and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Yet, as individual as our journeys are, God calls and claims us as a people, forms us with life-giving news, feeds us with the bread and cup of salvation, and sends us out in common mission with all the Church.

Jesus says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matt 7:7). If you are seeking information here, hopefully you will find it on our calendar or in our newsletter. If you are seeking the path to the true substance of life, seek Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). At the Lord's table of mercy, Holy Communion, there is room for everybody. There is a place for you here.

God's peace,

Pastor Adrienne
